LANCE LAIFER is interviewed by Lynne Hazelden of www.peaceinourlifetime.org He is leading an inspiring and powerful Malaria Awareness Campaign on World Poverty Day where he ask you to show support by change your profile picture to a blank blackout. Why? Let's find out! He has a website http://www.madnessagainstmalaria.com and he is simply Committed to raise awareness and funds for malaria nets costing a few pence. A small thing which will to help people fight the terribly distressing disease. Malaria does not distinguish between culture or continent .. it could be effecting many who feel they are safe as the climate shifts it's boundaries .. so this is a global concern for us all. @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ How did he begin his journey? How can we help and how does this effect people. His facebook awareness group says this ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHY CONNECT MALARIA AND POVERTY? UN economists identified malaria as one of the top four causes of poverty. Every year it kills > 3 million people and is estimated to cost the African economy $30 billion per year (more than 500 million per year get malaria). By joining malaria and poverty together we aim to educate people around the world of this vicious cycle. The comments below indicate people need to be educated about this connection. Black profile pics are used because they provoke interest and awareness. One example of the nefarious connection betwe
This is segment is dedicated to Poverty faced in the United States and around the world.
ON BALDWIN/McCULLOUGH RADIO: 1. 4-5 students suspended for wearing American flags on their own clothing on Cinco de Mayo. Labeled as incendiary by the school’s Latino principal. One student’s remarks, “They can be patriots on every other day, it’s disrespectful to do it today (May 5th).” In response 200 Latino students marched through the town of Morgan Hill, California. Thoughts: 800.345.9622. 2. Our friends at Rising Voice are taking on a new subject in the Month of May. Poverty. So Kevin asked this question on their facebook earlier today, “to what degree does institutionalized dependency contribute to the creation of poverty?” We also like the comment from another Rising Voice facebook member when he said, “Want to know how to fight poverty? Understand what creates wealth.” But what do you think, what creates poverty? And how do we solve it? 800.345.9622

Are Conservatives the "Domestic Terrorists" we here them ranting and raving about? Or is it the other way around? Join in on the discussion here on air wave pollution!
